Meet Our Defenders
Defending against sophisticated cyber threats takes more than technology. It takes people. People with skills and innate qualities to outpace today’s evolving threat landscape. Qualities we call “defender DNA.”
Tiffany Campbell | Cyber Security Consultant
What drives you to be a Defender?
What drives me to be a defender is standing up for something I believe in – protecting against unknown and unwanted threats.
What is your strongest defender DNA quality?
My strongest defender DNA quality is the ability to be flexible and work successfully in a collaborative environment. Defending often takes a team. And that team must be flexible and willing to work together when the time comes – most adversaries don’t work 9 to 5. If we receive a potentially malicious alert at 1:00 AM, we report to work as part of a tiger team to work on the incident for the customer, together. Threats are often done outside of normal business hours
How do you prove you have defender DNA?
I prove to have defender DNA by demonstrating the “never-give-up” syndrome. Many times, we as defenders get into situations where it seems like there is no end in sight; whether it’s with analysis you’re performing or a project you’re working on. Being a defender requires you to be a fighter and willing to go the distance to get the job done. If that requires working on a deliverable for a client all night until its right, completed, and delivered – that’s what I do.
How does your defender DNA benefit Leidos clients?
My defender DNA benefits Leidos clients because I have the ability to work diplomatically and collaboratively with all levels of staff and ensure successful execution of projects.
